TRAVEL & LODGING
SUMMER CAMP ’24 WILL BE AT LAKE YALE BAPTIST CONFERENCE CENTER IN LEESBURG, FL.
REGISTRATION INCLUDES TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM CAMP AND LODGING FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION.
- Transportation will be done on Charter Buses.
- Teens will arrive at our Radiant Heights location on August 6th, and we’ll take it from there!
- TEENAGERS AND THEIR CAMP LEADERS WILL BE STAYING IN CABINS ON PROPERTY.

What Do I Bring?
Don’t leave home without the following:
- Your Bible (obvI)
- Notebook (the sermons are going to be noteworthy)
- Pen (as the saying goes, “The pen is mightier than the sword”)
- Sunscreen, workout clothes, tennis shoes, swimsuit.
- Refillable Water Bottle.
- Toothbrush and other toiletries (please and thank you)
- Phone charger (duh)
Things to leave at home: weapons, bad attitudes, drugs, alcohol, lighters, and anything you wouldn’t want your grandmother to see.
WHAT KIND OF FINANCIAL AID IS AVAILABLE?
You can enroll for a payment plan, which allows you to break your payment up into smaller payments throughout the year.
We will not let a teenager miss Summer Camp because of finances. Financial aid is available.
What happens if I have to cancel?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds.
If your teenager can no longer attend Summer Camp, you can send someone in their place by connecting with the YTH Director at your campus.
WHAT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WILL BE TAKEN?
- Every adult serving in our YTH Ministry is required to have a background check.
- Lifeguards: Certified lifeguards at all swimming and water-related activities.
- Staff background checks: Background checks on all staff members to ensure that they have no history of child abuse or neglect.
- First aid and emergency preparedness: Staff members in first aid and emergency preparedness, and make sure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- All food is prepared, stored, and served according to food safety guidelines. The Lake Yale Head Chef will be on location to also support dietary restrictions.
- Transportation safety: Charter bus transportation ensures that all drivers are properly licensed and trained.
- Camper-to-staff ratios: Our 6:1 camper ration ensures campers are properly supervised and safe.
- Communication: Parents and Guardians will be added to a communication system to provide detailed information about the safety protocols in place at the camp and how they can contact the camp in case of an emergency.
WHAT ARE THE CABIN ASSIGNMENTS?
- Thirteen students and two leaders in each cabin
- Each cabin will be separated by gender, grade, and team
- Guy cabins will be on the opposite side of the campgrounds of our Girls cabins
- Room checks will occur every night by Security Staff and Camp Leaders.
- Cabin & Team Leaders will take phones during the room check and return it to the student the next morning.
DOES MY CHILD NEED EXTRA MONEY AT CAMP?
No, this is an all-inclusive camp. But there will be a gift shop open during free time hours where students can purchase snacks/ snow cones, and lake yale merchandise should you/they be interested. YTH will be responsible for carrying their own money.
WHAT DIETARY CONSIDERATIONS ARE BEING TAKEN?
Lake Yale’s head chef will be present to accommodate any dietary restrictions. This will need to be included in your registration to ensure your YTH is covered in our dietary requests.
WHAT ARE THE MEDICATION PROTOCOLS?
- YTH who take medication must bring only what is needed for the duration of the event in a clear bag.
- We will collect and document all medication during check-in at Radiant Heights, and our Camp Nurse Team and your YTH’s Team Leader will be notified.
- Camp Nurse Team will be available throughout Camp, with an assigned time for YTH taking medication.
- At registration you can elect which over the counter medications can be provided to your student if needed.
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
- Yes, your child can bring their own snacks. (Especially ones their cabin leaders would like 😉 ).
- There will be sensory options available throughout camp for any YTH who need a quiet and calm place to recoup.
- We can accommodate team and room preferences the best we can, but we strongly believe your YTH will make new friends and have a great time!
